FAQs

Can I buy a seat with a Purchase Order?

Yes, we will accept purchase orders. Please email us at Training@BigVisible.com to arrange for payment via a purchase order. Unfortunately, due to the timing of payments, we can not extend the “Early Bird” discount to individuals or groups paying by purchase order.

Do I get a copy of the slides for a class I take?

All participants will get a printed copy of the slides on the day they show up for a class.

Do classes count as credit for Professional Development Units (PDUs) for Project Management Professionals (PMPs)?

Yes, our classes are relevant to project managers and are eligible for PDUs. BigVisible is a PMI Registered Education Provider (REP), and PDUs earned in BigVisible classes should be claimed as part of Category A. Every contact hour in one of our courses counts as one Category A PDU.

How do I get my certificate and who issues it?

Students taking classes offering a Scrum certification (Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Product Owner) will receive their certifications from the Scrum Alliance. Shortly after completion of the class, participants will receive an email from the Scrum Alliance with instructions for creating a membership account and taking any required certification exams. Once certified, students will have access to exclusive content and the ability to print a copy of any Scrum certificates they have achieved.

Is there a test I must take to get my Certified ScrumMaster?

After successful completion of a CSM course, students can opt to take an exam from the Scrum Alliance to receive Certified ScrumMaster designation. Detailed information and a study guide can be found on the Scrum Alliance website.

What are the benefits of taking a class to learn about Agile & Scrum as opposed to simply reading a book?

Books are valuable resources and we strongly encourage potential students to leverage these sources of information. Our training classes are designed to reinforce concepts with in depth simulations and robust discussion. All of our course blend lecture, practice, and reflection. This allows participants to gain a much more profound understanding of the subject matter.

What do I need to bring to a class?

Our classes are designed to be a stand-alone experience and do not require participants to bring anything to a class other than an open mind and willingness to learn and perhaps something to take notes.

What time do classes start and how long do they go each day?

Unless otherwise stated, all of our classes begin at 8:30 and run to 5:00 PM, local time. Classes generally include a break for lunch around noon, as well as a brief break in the morning and afternoon.

What happens if a class is canceled?

In the case that a class is canceled by BigVisible, participants are entitled to transfer to another class or receive a full refund at their discretion.

What is the cancellation policy for a seat I’ve already purchased?

Public training participants who cancel their registrations up to 15 days prior to the registered class will have the option of transferring to another course or receiving a full refund of the registration fees paid. In the event of a cancellation within 15 days of the scheduled class, registrants will receive a credit towards a future class. If a cancellation is made within 14 days of the scheduled class, the participant will be charged a 30% cancellation fee and the remaining registration fee will be credited towards a future class.

Cancellations made with less than 48-hours notice prior to a class start, or registered participants who do not attend the training without providing prior notice, will be not be eligible for a refund or credit and will be charged the full amount of the registration. All cancellation requests must be made via email to training@bigvisible.com.
